Week Almost Finished

1 October 2008

Hello guys…. Today is Wednesday, tomorrow is Thursday, after that Friday, and weekend again. Time fly by very fast when you are working huh? I didn’t realize it yet. Anyway here in Sydney, Australia there will be a long weekend up till Monday which is a public holiday, a Labour Day, if I am not mistaken. We will be going to Port Stephens (I don’t know the exact spelling because I haven’t been there and I am lazy to search on Google) in the morning of Sunday and go home back to Sydney at night. It will be a long day of fun :)

Work. Work is fine, I am still doing the verifying, not so much of data entry, but I kinda like it now. I am already familiar with it, so now I can type very quickly, but sometimes stopped to check if there is something wrong. The keyword is fast but careful.

Weather in Sydney is really funny nowadays. I can remember few days ago it is still kinda hot and warm, but now it turns 180 degrees to cold wind again, reminding me of winter. But I like winter, the problem is that currently I am ill, from sore throat, flu and now coughing. And I also notice that in my office some people is sick aswell. Well, better eat those multi-vitamin and drink a lot of water.

Well, I better start talking about some of my hobbies, watching anime. The animes that I watch are Bleach, Code Geass – Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, Strike Witches, Soul Eater, and Nabari no Ou. They are currently are still running, means it is still on TV. The one I have finished are Ghost Hound, Persona Trinity Soul, Gundam 00, and some of the old one I don’t remember anymore :) You can check those animes I mention on Anime News Network. Just click the starting letter and find the title of the anime from the list.

You can watch them at Youtube, just search the anime and off you go :)

Okay then, enjoy your day everyone…

EDIT:
I forgot to mention about my International Food Day. It was good. Everyone brings food, some bring main course, some bring desserts, some bring cakes, crackers, and so much more. I already mention that I will bring Pempek, and guess what they all like it, even my boss :) My Indonesian friend already know what Pempek is, and even the one that is blasteran also know it. My Chinese friend which is unfamiliar with the food, I urge them to try it, and they said it is good. Well, anyway there are pad thai, green curry, beef salad, Thai fried fish cake, pork rib, nasi goreng, some Indian dish, pudding, crackers, biscuits, pasta, bihun goreng, and even mooncake, yummm…. All are very gud.

Weekend is here!!!

26 September 2008

Woooeee, what day is tomorrow? Weekend is here, really happy. Time to wind down and relax for a bit before continuing to work again.

Anyway, tonight me and my friends are planning to go to the cafe at Four Season Hotel, which he said is very nice and cozy with live jazz music playing. Haven’t been there and will be enjoying it. Tomorrow my friend also having a dinner together in the event of her birthday, actually her birthday is a month ago :) But in our culture, whoever is having a birthday, he/she has to treat his/her friends to a nice meal, which will fall to me, in a few days to come. gulp…

Work is all good. I usually work as a data entry, so basically just entering data from a survey to the system. But for some reason i have been assigned to a new position, which is a verifier. What is a verifier, its job is to verify the work of the data entry. I heard from my friend that I possess the ability to type quickly without making many errors and are very good at paying attention to details and maybe that is the cause I have been assigned as one. The survey is recorded inside a form, which has a lot of information that needs to be entered to the system. My job is to make sure that the information is entered to the system correctly and accurately. Not as fun as doing data entry, but I enjoy doing it anyway, mostly because I can order people to not do this and that :)Hey, you can’t have comma in the comment, you enter the wrong digit number, blah… blah… blah…” Fun :)

Btw today the bus is kinda skipping on their timetables, resulting a late return to my beloved home :( I have to wait roughly half an hour for the bus to arrive, how annoying. On monday, our office is going to have an International Food Day. It is most peculiar. Everybody in our office is different, plenty of nationality, maybe that is the cause of this event. Everyone is requested to bring food originating from their own respective country or any favourite food that they like. I think I’ll bring a fried fish cake, it’s called Pempek

Pempek

in Indonesian. I guess it is a good choice huh? Hopefully they all will like it.

Anyway, just enjoy the weekend everybody…

23 September 2008

It’s been ages since I post message here. Sorry, been kinda busy. I got a job now, which is Data Entry. I ended up cancelling the Internet Helpdesk Officer interview. Anyway, the Data Entry job is good fun, I got to meet new friends. Some are from Indonesia too, some from Thai, China, Hong Kong, Philippine, and some more I failed to mention :) The trip is about 35 minutes to work from where I live, which is right in the city itself. The are is North Ryde. I start working at 8am sharp until 4pm. The morning chores start at 6am, haha…

Btw, today is Tuesday and the ticket to cinema is cheaper than other days, but as my sister found out, it has been INCREASED again, now it is $10. What is that? I have to cough out one more dollar for the ticket, and I can’t use Gold Class Upgrade too :( Anyway, did anybody have watched The Mummy 3 or Hellboy 2? What do you guys think, is it good? A reccomendation or not? Appreciate the comments.

At Last, after HDD error

16 September 2008

Finally able to write something again since my computer breakdown.

It started when I update those blasted Windows Update of SP3 and after restarting my computer, it doesn’t wanna boot to the operating system. What could went wrong? Start Windows Normally doesn’t help, then Safe Mode with the same success, and Last Known Good Configuration also returns NADA!! Luckily I still have my old HDD and mount my “broken” HDD in external USB drive. I was hoping nothing was lost because of this commotion, and lucky lucky, everything are still intact, so I just transfer everything through to my other external USB drive. But today I managed to buy new HDD to be my clean boot Windows XP. No more that Windows Update!!

Much has happened in these last few days. Chinese Mooncake Festival, which falls on 14 September 2008. My Mooncake Festival dinner with my friends on the 12 in Crows Nest. Lee’s Fortune Palace is what the place called. Great tasting food, aside it’s small portion. We ordered Peking Duck, steamed fish, ..what else.., and lastly crab!! It was good and everybody was full, completed with mooncake my friend bought. Then we gone to Neutral Bay to buy Kohya’s icecream. After that, everyone gone home except me and my other 3 friends took a trip to Circular Quay to enjoy the moon and night breeze. Then after that we go home :)

My parents are in Singapore doing check-up. My dad been kinda sick lately. Hopefully everything turns out to be good. Nothing serious happened.

Btw, I got a call for an interview tomorrow, the 17. Preparing for questions that are most likely to be asked, fingers crossed I made it through. It is an job called Internet Helpdesk Officer. Need to brush up my skills in networking by reading my old uni textbook :)

Alright, I think that is some fine writing you’ve done :) (kidding) I have to sleep now, in case you’re wondering it is 4.56 am :)

Tuesday Morning

9 September 2008

Haha, so it’s already Tuesday…

Just wake up recently, about few minutes before, and already starting writing my blog. Man, this thing really get me addicted. Anyway, just want to say something.

Oh yeah, do you all watched the show called “So You Think You Can Dance?” ? I like how they able to express themselves with the way they dance. Particularly Katee, who is VERY good at showing her emotion, but I really love Chelsie. Too bad she has just been evicted at last show. I really love how her legs move, it is so sexy. Can’t get enough… :) This is a video of her doing solo performances, and look at those legs!!!

Well, on the topic of TV series, I might as well talked about some more that I like. There is “Monster Garage” (link) that is currently showing here on the TV. It is a show about modifying an ordinary car into a monstrous creation (usually a racing model, but not necessarily). I became familiar with the car parts as I watched the show, and also managed to dream about opening my own garage and modifying my own car :) The show features Jesse James who is apparently Sandra Bullock’s husband (link). Very nice car modified and the result is even more amazing. Top watch!!

And while I’m back in Indonesia, there is the show “Ghost Hunter” (link) features on cable TV. Too bad can’t watched it here in Australia. I really love it how the show explore some of America’s haunted place or some family’s resident that had been haunted. Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson formed the TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) who investigate this haunted sightings. Some of images, video feeds, or audios really spooky. I remember in one of the episode, Jason and Grant are able to record the ghost saying something like “…leave us alone…”. Spooky indeed!!

Well, I think those are enough to get us started huh?
